To discover the essence of Italy, one must embark on a journey out of the city and into the countryside.
There, just outside a village as old as the encircling hills, you will find it. The traditional Italian trattoria.
A local gathering place for family and friends. Nothing formal or fancy. Just an old farmhouse in a stand of fig trees, under the open sky.
As the sun slips behind the hills, spirits rise. The proprietor descends a flight of stone cellar steps, emerging with a few vintage bottles from the vineyard in the valley. From the kitchen, aromas of fresh baked bread mingle with simmering sauces, fresh herbs and roasting garlic.
The workday is done, the evening's enjoyment can begin. And what an evening. Of talk and laughter. Of wine and song.
Of good food and fellowship. Then, there may come a moment when a hush falls on the gathering, and all in attendance gaze quietly up at the stars. Perhaps they are reflecting on the many joys of this perfect evening under the beautiful night sky. Or, as they themselves would say it, Bella Notte. The Beautiful Night.
Bella Notte Believes
Our restaurant is run for your pleasure, not our convenience.
Hot food should be hot. Cold food should be cold. If we serve you anything in-between, your meal is complimentary.
Pasta should be prepared al dente, firm but tender. The Italians have been doing it that way for centuries. Who are we to change history?
Pizza dough should be cooked crisp in a wood-fired oven, so the flavor of the toppings is sealed in.
Our desserts are excessive, because nothing succeeds like excess. We expect you to share, so please do!
Everyone's tastes are different, so don't hesitate to ask for substitutions. We want your meal to be exactly as you like it.
The quality of our food and our people set us apart. If either falls short of your expectations, tell us immediately and we'll make it right in a Milan minute.
